My couple reached out to me with a few weeks to go and wanted a beautifully personal ceremony to celebrate their marriage back in January.  It was to be a rather special day, as the couple were both heading over to the USA to live, and so the day became a farewell party too. Family and friends gathered to support this amazing couple, and suffice to say it was a very emotional day too.

When I arrived, I checked in with the venue, the photographers, the videographer and the lovely toastmaster Ian.  There was a feeling of calm about the setting, and as guests arrived and congregated in the entrance hall and lounge, things quickly began to change to a sense of excitement!

Knowing that family and friends were going to be very emotional, I planned a little surprise for the couple and it went down a storm!  As the ceremony began, we had a formal welcome and then a lovely reading by the groom's auntie, and I recapped on the couple's story and the meaning behind marriage for them as a couple.

Then came the surprise, and I am so glad that it was captured on video as it will provide some lovely memories for them all with the imminent departure of the couple.

As they exchanged their own vows, and everyone witnessed the giving of rings, it was time to sign their wedding day certificate aided by their mums and their guests all readied themselves to receive the couple and to shower them with confetti.

As we concluded the ceremony and the music began, the room filled with cheers and applause and the couple headed back down the aisle and off for drinks.

As I walked back up the aisle thanking everyone for coming, I received such wonderful comments and a couple of teary hugs too!  It is always lovely to hear these, especially when they have provided some lovely memories and moments for everyone to remember after they have departed.

I wish Louise and Jack a future full of fun and new adventures over in the US!
