Mixing Cultures and Traditions

I am proud to include multi-cultural and interfaith weddings amongst those that I have conducted, and indeed amongst my bookings for next year also. In fact, my first wedding this season was a British/Asian wedding and was the second of their fabulously colourful ceremonies. I have also conducted a ceremony for a British/Chinese couple that are living in Singapore. They had a traditional Chinese celebration for the bride's family, a ceremony in Singapore for all of their friends, and their third one here in England so that the groom's family and friends could enjoy their celebrations too. Next year sees a wonderful couple from Hindu and Sikh faiths, combining elements of their backgrounds in a beautifully bespoke, celebrant-led ceremony in Farnham.

You may be considering a religious wedding, and then a celebration with more of a westernised feel, or you may both be living abroad, and having a traditional ceremony in your home country, then wanting a ceremony here in the UK so that family and friends can join you. Whatever the situation, I am delighted to be able to assist my couples in creating a memorable ceremony that captures the essence of who they are, and indeed I encourage the inclusion of family traditions and cultural elements. It becomes a completely unique celebration, and you can re-exchange vows and rings so that it allows your guests to witness this part of the wedding with you.

For more information, or to chat through your plans, please do feel free to ring, or drop me a line. I look forward to hearing from you.
