Multicultural and Interfaith Wedding Ceremonies

I recently conducted a beautifully bespoke ceremony for British/Chinese couple Andy and Luyuan, at the stunning Cain Manor in Surrey. This was the couple's third celebration as they had already participated in a ceremony in Singapore, and one in China, and the bride was keen (having not ever visited the venue before) that we ensure it was her dream, quintessentially English day. The weather 'played ball' and we were treated to warm temperatures and blue skies, which made the countryside views, even more of an amazing backdrop.

Their ceremony was full of personal elements, and some truly lovely readings from family and friends. We even had a prayer (you won't find that in a registrar's ceremony!), so it really was exactly what the couple wanted. I even spoke Mandarin to welcome the bride's family - it was quite a day!

As a celebrant that embraces diversity, I have been fortunate enough to have conducted several multicultural and interfaith weddings this year already, and have a few booked in for next year too. I feel it is important to capture the essence of the bride and groom, and if they are able to include religious elements, customary rituals or even traditions, then this to me is a true representation of them as a couple.

Having a celebrant-led ceremony means you can incorporate whatever is important to you, and I am honoured to be able to script and deliver such personalised ceremonies.

If you have any questions about having a ceremony that combines faiths, or cultures, please do feel free to contact me. I have lots of experience, and many ideas that will ensure your day is memorable for both you and your guests.
