What to do with your dress?

Many of you reading this post may be counting down the days until your wedding, for others it may have already taken place, and you are pouring over your photos. Either way, you are quite rightly enjoying the build up or reflecting on great memories...but for some, the joy of such a wonderful occasion is tinged with sorrow. You see, out there, amongst the millions of people getting married, are some truly remarkable, brave and inspirational souls. They are people with life limiting conditions or terminal illnesses that are making a commitment to a loved one, often without much notice, to ensure they experience and enjoy a special day before being sadly taken from family and friends.

As you can imagine, this can be an emotional time for brides in these circumstances, but a wonderful charity came to the rescue, called the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation. It helps to organise and source all that they need, from vendors and individual contributors across the UK. The charity is looking for wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, shoes, and many other wedding accessories, so if you have been pondering over what to do with your dress, and indeed items from your wedding party after your big day, this may be just the ticket.

On a personal note, I will be joining many of my celebrant friends and making a regular financial contribution to help support this charity. I feel privileged to assist all of my bridal clients, and am delighted to be able to help those in need also. I hope that this post helps to spread the word and even the smallest donation could help to make a big difference.
