Perfect Pair

A well known song suggests that love and marriage go together like a horse and carriage, but did you know that a celebrant and your photographer are also fabulous partners when it comes to your big day?

As your celebrant, I establish contact with your photographer ahead of your wedding, and provide them with an overview of the ceremony so that they understand the flow and what is due to happen and when. They can then ensure that they are best positioned to capture all of your special moments. Unlike the majority of registrars, here at Knight Ceremonies, we don't actually mind pictures being taken throughout the service, and in fact, I actively encourage this! After all, who wants to miss out on images of them exchanging rings, vows and of course, the all important first kiss!

I work closely with your chosen supplier on the day, and communicate with them about the positioning at the front of the ceremony to ensure they have good light, and an unobstructed view. Until I begin my introduction, I like to ensure the photographer has a clear view of the bride coming down the aisle too, as one of my favourite moments is the view of the groom as he turns to see his bride coming towards him. It's a shot that is full of emotion, and to enable the first or second shooter to capture this is a priority.

I have had the pleasure of working with some of the best photographers in the business, and am honoured to have been provided with many images of me in action - some of which feature on my "services" page.

So, if you are considering a celebrant-led ceremony, don't forget to put us in touch with your contact to ensure that your special moments are preserved.
