Easter Sunday saw me heading back to the fabulous Rivervale Barn for a really lovely personal wedding.
My couple have just had their second child and wanted their ceremony to be all about them and their little family. After months of building and creating a beautiful script together, and a venue visit to run through all of the details, everything came to fruition on their special day and it was just beautiful.
Having arrived early, I re-arranged the ceremony area as per the couple's request (sometimes the venues set up with a registrar format in mind), I popped in to see the bride and calmed her nerves, I had a brief rehearsal to check all of the logistical details, and then ran through things with the groom and best men. I even managed to seek out the bride's father to reassure him too....wedding day nerves are inevitable but it's part of my role to help soothe these, and everyone seemed much more relaxed afterwards.
These two met a decade ago, have a plethora of fabulous stories, and bucket loads of memories. The bride loves Disney and had the Beauty and the Beast theme music as she entered, they had a had carved memories box and lots of other fab personal touches too.
From the moment those big doors to the ceremony room opened, and the couple's little boy came in pushing his tiny little sister in a mini pram, to the marriage memories box that they created, and the personal vows, it was absolutely amazing! Such an elegant and personal wedding, and I was honoured to have been asked to lead their special ceremony.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Hauke!
