It goes without saying that I am a gay friendly celebrant, and part of the reason I love my job, is that I can welcome couples from any background, faith, or persuasion. Luckily, all of the venues and vendors that I work with are of like mind, but sadly there are still a few industry professionals out there that have limited capacity and do not embrace diversity.

I am delighted to have been able to write ceremony scripts for my same sex couples, and indeed to be able to create unforgettable memories for them and their families. Being able to tell a couple's story is an honour, and one that I do not take lightly. I make sure it includes personal, sentimental, light hearted and sincere elements, and is completely unique to them. We are all different, and so the ceremony and the script should not be in a "one size fits all" format, but one that accurately reflects the couple getting married.
