Here is a blog from my team member Jess from our last wedding of 2024. . . .
"On the final Saturday of 2024, Clare and Alex got married at The Aviator Hotel, Farnborough overlooking the airport from the Sky Lounge.
The propellor-contoured room was a beautiful setting on a wintery afternoon and, although, it was misty outside the guests were still able to enjoy a few plane landings. When discussing the ceremony space on the lead-up to the big day, we decided that the couple would stand next to the windows looking at their guests not only so that the guests could see their expressions and smiles but so the groom (Alex) did not get distracted by the planes, this soon became a running joke and was even mentioned during the ceremony.
I know I feel extremely lucky to have been getting to know Clare and Alex over the past year, being able to write their love story, and being trusted with their big day. When Clare entered the room, I ensured I had tissue at the ready in case Alex needed any more however, I could feel myself needing it.
For the rest of the ceremony laughter rippled around the room as I shared not only their key moments but also the everyday memories that often get missed.
As the ceremony came to an end, the guests flowed out of the Sky Lounge with smiles on their faces and ready to celebrate the happy couple.
I would like to wish Clare and Alex much love and happiness for their future. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Carter!
Jess
