What a wonderful day. From start to finish, the ceremony was a delight. My couple (she is Sikh, he is Hindu), had planned a fabulous wedding at the gorgeous Millbridge Court just outside Farnham in Surrey. It's a venue I know quite well, and I consider it one of the best wedding locations in the area. The weather was glorious, the ceremony room looked simply stunning and the grounds were perfectly showcased with blue skies and bright sunshine.
We had crafted a really personal ceremony, blending elements from their Sikh ceremony, and details about Hinduism to honour the groom and his family. Whilst there were no readings today, I read a fabulous quote that had the whole room moved, and the couple shared some of the most emotional vows I have had the honour of witnessing. It was safe to say the whole congregation was engaged with the wording, and really felt part of the procedings. I addressed the guests and they participated in a group consent, promising to support the bride and groom, and we managed to ensure that this ceremony was completely different from their preceeding celebrations.
The bride looked breathtaking in her pistachio green bridal two piece (very on trend!), and the room was awash with colourful sari's and beautiful gowns. I was absolutely priviledged to work with such a lovely couple, and their warm and welcoming family were just delightful.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Pankhania! Enjoy the rest of your celebrations. . . .the image above shows the families embracing after the ceremony. A demonstration of the connections that have now been made.
I look forward to sharing the offiical images soon.
