Last weekend saw a truly lovely couple tying the knot (literally) in a stunning outdoor ceremony setting at Highfield Park in Hampshire. After getting to know my couple, I created a unique and completely personal ceremony, with lots of involvement from family and friends. The groom's sons joined in the vow section, the guests all joined in a group consent, the couple had a mini-handfasting, and there was a reading, a prayer and a hymn! The weather was dry and sunny throughout, (only a few clouds crept across towards the end of their service), and the confetti canons filled the air at the end, rounding off things perfectly.
Highfield Park has beautiful indoor facilities, but it was their outdoor wedding setting (The Folly) that captured the hearts of my couple, and it was just stunning. We used the Folly itself for the signing of their certificate, but it remained a fabulous backdrop to the proceedings throughout the rest of the ceremony. The couple and I opted for an open format at the front of the service, which afforded their guests (and their photographer!) uninterrupted views of the ceremony, and with my PA system, we made sure everyone could hear what was happening too.
Paula Rooney (renowned luxury florist) made sure the setting was complemented by some colour co-ordinated blooms, and amazing finishing touches, and industry favourite Pippa Mackenzie, worked her magic and captured lots of shots of the couple and their guests throughout. I look forward to working with the venue and indeed these two incredible suppliers again very soon!
