Bilingual ceremony at High Billinghurst Farm!

A new blog from my team member Laura. . .

"Paige and Maxi married legally in a small ceremony back in 2021, but they wanted a larger celebration with all the family who couldn't join them then. Maxi originates from Argentina so this time round his family were all able to travel to the UK to join in with the celebration. Their ceremony was really focused on the joining of the two families and especially Maxie's little girl Pia, and so we made it a bilingual ceremony to ensure everyone had a sense of what was going on and felt included in the celebration.

The venue was the beautifull High Billinghurst Farm, set in the Surrey Hills near Dunsfold. It's a beautifully open space with country views all round, a real sense of openness and fresh air!

The ceremony was held in the bottom meadow, created in a mown circle next to a huge oak tree. The sun was shining down hard on us all, guests hovered in the shade of the tree before we sat down for the ceremony. We'd talked about wet weather in planning stages but blazing heat not so much!

Toast hq and Tawny flower studio had done a stunning job on setting the scene with a beautiful octagon backdrop, set with the gorgeous trees behind. Buckets and stands for the confetti, fans and bottles of water for the guests were on hand for them as they arrived and took their seats.

Paige was getting ready in the cottage on site and she and her bridal party, including Rocco, the couples' gorgeous doggy, meandered down through the meadow to join us for the ceremony, whilst Soph and Simon provided beautiful music.

The sky was cloudless and the sun was doing it's best to shine on the happy couple, making for a unusually hot summers day. Paige and Maxi had provided fans for everyone and all I could see from my position at the front, was a sea of white butterflies fluttering throughout the ceremony!

The ceremony was bilingual and included a Spanish contribution from Gisela, Maxi's sister, and 'Time Traveler's' read beautifully by Paige's Auntie Jane. Paige did her vows and ring exchange in Spanish and Maxi did his in English. Paige also presented a gift to Pia, and she joined the couple to sign a memorial certificate for the day.

Emma from Emma Epic Love Story set up the most wonderful confetti strewn exit for the couple with bags of confetti and confetti cannons for all the guests, Rocco had found a quiet shady spot under the certificate signing table to hide from the sun and he was unfazed by all the bangs! I saw him later on enjoying bubbles being spread by some of the children in the walled garden... He's quite a character!!

The couple and their guests were greeted by much needed drinks following the baking hot ceremony provided by circa events who were doing a big BBQ to line all of their stomachs for the party ahead!

Paige had arranged some circus games in one of the fields as a surprise for Maxi who is a self-confessed joker and budding magician! The children were all enjoying these very much as I was leaving, and I imagine a few of the adults got involved later on too!!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Paige and Maxi for choosing me to deliver a wonderful ceremony celebrating their relationship and starting them on the most wonderful adventure together.
