It was my privilege to work with Caeli and Helen Yeadon at their stunning art deco town hall venue in Stoke Newington recently. Their ceremony was so personal, and brought together family members from all over the UK and from the USA too.

As a gay-friendly celebrant, I embrace diversity, and was so thrilled to be asked to create and conduct this special and very emotional ceremony for two wonderful people and their families. They included a lovely reading with very personal meaning from a mutual friend, and an emotionally stirring and inspirational piece of music that gave us all goose bumps. During their ceremony, and especially during their vows, you could have heard a pin drop. Everyone in the room was caught in the moment, focussing on every word spoken.

The brides' requested a 'device-free' wedding ceremony, so all phones were put away and guests enjoyed some truly wonderful moments, feeling completely connected - a rare occasion considering the fixation we all have on our communication devices these days!

An amazing day for two perfectly-matched people. I wish them both all the happiness for their future together.
