Faced with postponements and lots of uncertainty, my couple Amar and David, rode the waves and finally got to celebrate their marriage in style at the Swan in Streatley.

With blue skies, blazing sunshine, and the most wonderful riverside setting, their guests were treated to such a special start to this day of celebrations.  When I arrived, the last of the boats moored by the ceremony setting departed, the chairs were all set by the huge weeping willow and the sun was dancing on the water.  It was idyllic!

I finished setting up my things and checked the space.  After speaking with everyone involved, and checking in with the venue team, the photographer, and the guitarist and vocalist, it was time to welcome the guests into the space.  I think every single person was blown away by the views, and the atmosphere by the water, and were grateful for the fans left on the seats by the couple.  It was a super hot day, and temperatures were rising seemingly by the minute!

When the bridal party came into view across the little bridge, it felt like it had been a long road to get to this day, but here everyone was, ready to help them celebrate.  As welcome messages were shared, and the couple's story unfolded, it became obvious that they have achieved so much together already.  Having such a strong and very special bond, these two have weathered storms, survived the pandemic, and planning and re-organising wedding details many times.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with them both, and loved being able to tell their story in front of their loved ones.  With vows and rings exchanged, we concluded the ceremony with a knot-tying ritual, and had all of their guests supporting them as they pulled the infinity knot tight.

With whoops and cheers, these two walked back down the aisle and everyone joined them for drinks to celebrate on the lawns by the river.  What an incredible day for an incredible couple.  I'll miss our chats Amar and David!
