Gorgeous Sunny Wedding at Littlefield Manor

So the sun shone and the skies were blue for today’s amazing outdoor wedding at Littlefield Manor.

This is a private venue, available only via blank Canvas Weddings, and today I was back working alongside the lovely Heidi and her team, as well as some other fabulous suppliers. Everyone there loved the bride and groom and it was set to be a wonderful, relaxed and personal celebration.

I arrived on site and marvelled at the décor and flowers that they had used to embellish the ceremony area, and it just looked great! I met the fabulous photographer and videographer and we walked through some of the standing positions to ensure everyone knew what was happening and when, and also that the camera angles all worked well.

Guests began to arrive and I talked to both of the lovely readers, the best man, groom and bride’s brother who was in charge of the music!

Having all of the chats and checks completed, I hopped up to see the bride and her bridesmaids and calmed a few nerves, talked through all that was about to happen and then left her in the very capable hands of the Blank Canvas team.

The guests came into the ceremony area via a lovely archway and I could hear so many comments about how beautiful it all looked. This setting is gorgeous. With the walled garden and lawns for welcome drinks, then the rear lawn with the marquee and evening reception spaces, to the stunning ceremony area at the back of the house, it is a venue that you can really utilise all of the areas available and the photographic opportunities are endless!

"Being at a stage in your life where you are ready and open to meet someone, and then having a connection with a person whose path is aligned with yours, well that is a really and truly wonderful moment"

The ceremony began with a warm welcome, and the bride’s father presented his daughter to her groom and we talked about what today meant to my couple. We had the first of our readings, followed by the couple’s love story and then a second reading before revealing a section of the ceremony that we had kept a secret from the family and other guests. There were audible gasps and lots of tears of joy - such a lovely moment!

"Millie tells me that she was at home in the kitchen making spaghetti bolognese (on a Tuesday evening that December) when Chris burst into the house grinning like a Cheshire Cat.  He had his hands in his pockets, and strolled up to her and dropped down on to one knee!"

The couple shared their lovely vows, and promises, and exchanged rings and then to much applause, had their first kiss. After the couple had signed their commemorative certificate and were joined by their ‘witnesses’ we concluded the ceremony and the couple walked back up the aisle and were completely covered in confetti!

As I packed my things away, I was stopped by grandparents, aunties and uncles as well as several guests to say how relaxed and fun it was. Everyone felt a part of the ceremony and it was just the start to the couple’s day that they had hoped for.

What a cracking day, congrats Mr & Mrs Fox!!
